Training Clinics

As preparation for this year's Dragon Boat Festival, the Chamber of Commerce in partnership with High Five Dragon Boat, is offering more opportunities to get YOU on the water! On Saturday, August 15th, please join us for one of the two available dragon boat clinics at Loyd Park on Joe Pool Lake.  Registration for either training session must be received no later than Wednesday, August 12th. 

These clinics are optional and in addition to the practice session included in your team's registration. To sign up for your team practice on Thursday or Friday before racing, please go to the Team Captain's Info page for instructions.

Intro to Dragon Boat Clinic

This is a complimentary session designed to provide an introduction to dragon boating for inexperienced paddlers, compliments of the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce.

Advanced Dragon Boat Training Clinic

This is a more advanced training session designed to provide individuals with additional knowledge of paddling theory, technique and race day strategies to prepare them and their team for the win!
